The majority of the 15th century England was ruled over by the royal dynasties of Lancaster and York and ended with the appearance on the royal stage of the house of Tudor. War with France dominated the first half of the century and this was followed by the famous Wars of the Roses. 

During this period the history of the Bostocks of Bostock is on much firmer ground.
